The deadline of the following two call topics has been postponed:

Energy –The 2020 call for energy efficiency is open

Around €64 million of EU funding is now available for energy efficiency innovation and market uptake projects.

The European Capital of Innovation (iCapital) Award 2020

This is an annual cash prize (€ 1 million) awarded to the European city that is best able to demonstrate its ability to harness innovation to improve the lives of its citizens.


Changes in two topics: FETPROACT-EIC-07-2020 & FETPROACT-EIC-08-2020

The Commission intends to modify topics ‘FETPROACT-EIC-07-2020: FET Proactive: emerging paradigms and communities’ and ‘FETPROACT-EIC-08-2020: Environmental Intelligence’.

Circular Industries - H2020-LOW-CARBON-CIRCULAR-INDUSTRIES-2020 – Number of submitted proposals

The call H2020-LOW-CARBON-CIRCULAR-INDUSTRIES-2020 has closed on the 5th of February 2020.

Prize for renewable energy islands (RESponsible island) -deadline 29 September

This prize will reward achievements in local renewable energy production for electricity, heating, cooling and transport on islands.

The prize name refers to the combination of renewables (RES) and responsibility. The 3 first awardees will be given resp. 500000€, 250000€ and 100000€.

EIC Horizon Prize - Low Cost Space Launch - deadline 01 June 2021

The challenge is to develop a European technologically non-dependent solution for launching light satellites into Low-Earth Orbit (LEO), which will enable dedicated low-cost launches with committed schedule and orbit. The prize value is 10 mio €.

EIC Horizon Prize - Innovative Batteries for eVehicles - deadline 17 December 2020

The challenge is to develop a safe and sustainable battery for electric-vehicles through the development of new materials and chemistries making use of abundant, sustainable low cost materials, which are easily available in Europe. The prize value is 10 mio €.

Submission deadline: 17 December 2020.
