Negotiations between EP and Council Presidency lead to top-up of €4 billion for Horizon Europe

Last Tuesday afternoon, after negotiations between the European Parliament budget negotiators and the German presidency of the European Council, a provisional agreement was reached on €16 billion extra for the next multiannual financial framework programme (2021-2027), of which € 4 billion for Horizon Europe.
