European Commission launched search for ERC Scientific Council members
In May an Identification Committee of 6 scientists was set up by the Commission that has the task to 1) identify members for the renewal of the European Research Council Scientific Council membership and 2) to maintain a pool of candidates for future membership in the Scientific Council.
Today the Identification Committee has begun the search for potential candidates for membership of the Scientific Council of the ERC. Nominations are accepted until 30 September 2020.
The ERC Scientific Council members are appointed by the Commission on the basis of recommendations of the Identification Committee. The ERC Scientific Council is the governing body of the ERC, which is composed of 22 members, scientists and scholars from across Europe.
